2022 World Sickle Cell Awareness Day

Alimosho General Hospital, through the Haematology, Nutrition and Dietetics, Nursing Department, on 17th, June 2022 held World Sickle Cell Awareness Day, themed ‘ Shine the light on Sickle Cell’ in commemoration of the Annual Sickle Cell Awareness Day.

The Annual event featured.

* Health Talks via awareness campaign within the hospital premises and the event venue.

* Warriors / Caregivers sharing of testimonies, experiences and advice.

*Free drugs for sickle cell warriors.

Free genotype test.

* Refreshments and many more.

Present at the event were, ALGH Medical Personel, Sickle Cell Club members, Caregivers and Others.
